Hey There

I am Teeka Branham, owner and photographer of White Oak Media. I was a military "brat" and called many places home growing up. But the ever-growing Northern Virginia holds a special place in my heart since the majority of my childhood was spent there. My husband, Josh, and I started our life together in Winchester before ultimately moving to Berryville in 2018 with our four kids and absolutely fell in love with the small-town vibe.

 

I am a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and former Laboratory Information Systems analyst. I worked for a local healthcare system for 16 years, the last 6 of those being in IT. While my journey began there, I have always had a passion for photography. Alongside my 9-5 I did portrait work and weddings for family and friends.

 

2022 brought with it a desire to do something that brings joy to my life. Do something I love on a regular basis.  I am that person who, when riding in a car, stares out of the window just to see the homes that we pass by. I truly find something inspiring about every home I see. And don't get me started on interiors! I have a real appreciation for a beautifully decorated home... the details that make each home unique, special.  I decided to reach out to a family friend who graciously gave me the chance to photograph a home for his business and that was it. I found that spark I had been looking for! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the process! I couldn't believe I hadn't been doing this forever. So, when the opportunity arose, I left my full-time job and started down this new, exciting path. Choosing to fully commit and take a chance on myself and my dream.
